This morning at 6:02 AM, a neighbor was out walking his dog and observed a small porch fire at a house in the 300 block of Chestnut Street in the Borough of Parkesburg. 911 was notified and KVFD was dispatched for a house fire along with many other mutual aid fire companies. However all were recalled and the incident was handled by firefighters on Ladder 8 and Engine 8. The fire was extinguished and firefighters checked for extension into the house. There was none.
