This afternoon at 12:17 P.M., Ladder 8 responded on a mutual aid box to assist Martin's Corner on a structure fire in the 3200 block of Compass Road, West Caln Township.

Upon arrival of Ladder 8, Compass Road Command requested that Ladder 8 set ground ladders on side B and C of the single family home.

Honey Brook Station #33 firefighters had already initiated an interior attack while other area companies assisted in the response.

Ladder 8 deployed 2-24 extension ladders and a 16' roof ladder. Then cleared two windows as ordered for the interior engine company crews. The KVFD crew then entered into the manpower pool.

Ladder 8 was released by Command and returned to service in the District at 1:10PM. Chester County Fire Marshals are investigating. Preliminary cause reported to be a kitchen fire.

At 12:30PM, Station 8 was dispatched to an accident with unknown injuries on Boro Line Road at Old Stottsville Road, Highland Township, Ambulance 8 responded and found there were no injuries, and all apparatus was recalled. This incident involved a school bus and wires down. Again the incident had no reported injuries and the incident was handled on-scene by FM45.
