On January 26th, 2024, at 5:44 am the Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Limestone and Highland Roads in Highland Township for a reported tractor trailer fire.
Rescue 8, Tanker 8, Ladder 8, Ambulance 8-1, Tac 8, Traffic 8 all made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported flames coming from under the tractor trailer.
Rescue 8 led by Deputy 8 (Klingler) arrived to find a fully engulfed tractor as the fire had not spread to the trailer and their crew began fire suppression. Tanker 8 arrived and supplied water to the Rescue truck during fire suppression. As additional apparatus arrived their crews were tasked with lighting of the scene and assisting with fire suppression efforts.
Ambulance 8-1 arrived and stood by for the firefighters safety during fire suppression. Keystone Valley Personnel mitigated the situation quickly and the fire was placed under control by Deputy 8 within minutes after Rescue 8’s arrival.
Keystone Valley Fire Department personnel remained on the scene for lighting and traffic control around the scene.
