KVFD Pays Tribute to Past Fire Police Captain Linsinbigler

Robert (Bob) A. Linsinbigler, 62, of Highland Township, PA, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. He was the husband of Joan (Bennett) Linsinbigler. Bob was born in Norristown, PA, and was the son of Kenneth Linsinbigler of Coatesville, PA, and the late Gertrude (Susan) Baker Linsinbigler.

Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a supporting and dedicated member of the Parkesburg Fire Company since 1975 then later serving the Keystone Valley Fire Department as an active part of the Fire Police Unit/ Fire police Captain of KFVD. Bob worked for Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia for over 35 years. Bob was an avid sports fan who loved watching Nascar and the Philadelphia Eagle’s. Bob also loved spending time at his camper in Delaware. Bob was a family man who loved spending time with his family especially all the grandchildren and great grandchildren that he greatly adored.

Bob is survived by his children, Robert (Gem) Bennett, Chasity (Shawn) Powell, Vernon Mattson. Grandchildren, Paul (Kaitlyn) Mendenhall, Ryan Powell, Alicia (Cliff) Ruck, Robert Bennett (Samantha), Ashley Powell (Brandon), Alyssa Bennett, Tyler Mattson, Cody Powell. Great-grandchildren, Cadence Ruck, Emilie Ruck, Jaxton Lantz, Liam Bennett, Emma Bennett, Maddix Lantz, Dane Ruck, Noah Bennett, Lawson Lantz. Siblings, Kenneth (Joyce) Linsinbigler, Donna Taylor, Brian Linsinbigler (Debi), Karen (Matt) Schmidt, Tammy Vodopija (Nick), Vickey Linsinbigler (Miguel), and Brenda Linsinbigler.

Bob Linsinbigler has been a member since 1975 serving Parkesburg Fire Company and then later Keystone Valley Fire Department as an active part of the Fire Police Unit. Bob was placed as the Fire Police Captain of KVFD and has always been a dedicated and supportive member of KVFD.

When questioned Why did you join the fire department? Bob replied "Seeing my parents and grandparents involved with the ambulance squad as I was growing up, I wanted to be a firefighter and help those in need".

Bob's hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department included? Nascar, Football, and camping

Bob was asked what do you like best about being part of the fire department. His answer was "Brotherhood of the fire co. & the friendships you make through the years".

Bob was dedicated and a public servant at heart. He was one of those members who you could count on and always be coming no matter what hour it was or what the weather was.
