Ambulance Assist On Accident In Londonderry Township

On September 20th, 2023, Keystone Valley EMS was dispatched to assist the Cochranville Fire Company with an auto accident at the intersection of Route 41 and Jennersville Roads in Londonderry Township.

Ambulance 8-1 and Assistant 27 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center of a 2-vehicle accident with unknown injuries. Additional callers reported at least 1 patient to be checked with debris completely blocking both lanes of travel. Assistant 27 arrived on scene to confirm the report and assumed the "Route 41 Command". Ambulance 8-1 arrived to triage the scene for potential patients.

Ambulance 8-1'a crew determined that 1 patient would need to be transported to the hospital. Rescue 27 arrived and mitigated the hazards on the vehicles while also providing traffic control around the accident scene. Ambulance 8-1 transported 1 subject to an area hospital.

The Cochranville Fire Company units remained on the scene to allow the Pennsylvania State Police to conduct an investigation of the scene and to await the arrival of a tow company.
