On January 17th, 2024, at 17:03 hours the Keystone Valley Fire Department EMS Division was dispatched to Bush Road in West Fallowfield Township for a medical call.

Ambulance 8-2 responded and was advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the reporting party was not feeling well. Ambulance 8-2 arrived and as the crew entered the residence the carbon monoxide detector which is located on all first in medical bags of KVFD EMS started to alert notifying the crew that a presence of carbon monoxide was detected in the house. Our EMS crew also found a smoke condition in the basement of the residence. Ambulance 8-2's crew evacuated the house and notified the Chester County 911 Center to have the Cochranville Fire Company dispatched for a carbon monoxide incident.

The Cochranville Fire Company arrived, and their crews monitored the residence for carbon monoxide. As the crew entered the residence their meter detected carbon monoxide with a reading of 60 ppm. The Cochranville Fire Company quickly mitigated the situation and ventilated the residence.
