This evening Monday January 29th, 2024 was Firefighter / EMT Adam Pozza’s last shift for KVFD. Pozza was the longest tenured part-time employee for KVFD since the beginning of the Consolidation and during it.

FF/EMT Pozza started at KVFD on January 27th, 2014, and has been putting in shifts since his start. Pozza has decided to take some time off and will continue with his full-time career and be home with his wife and son. Pozza also volunteers for Minquas Fire Company of Downingtown, Pa and is a big contributor to the volunteer system.

Emergency Medical Services has ochanged and with the recent rise in call volume for many agencies, it requires more time and commitment. This is a strain that many are facing in this service.

For FF/EMT Pozza’s last shift, KVFD recognized Pozza for his ten (10) years of service to KVFD and the communities in which we serve. Pozza was presented with a plaque thanking him for his service and we all got to enjoy some great treats from the “Spoiled Guiney”.

Thank you to Tammy Guiney for the treats that were made including gluten free.

Thank you to Adam for your years of service and contribution to KVFD.
