Safe Kids Chester County is sponsoring a Child Passenger Safety Seat Check with the Keystone Valley Fire Department!

Child Passenger Safety Technicians from Keystone Valley Fire Department and Safe Kids Chester County will be providing car seat safety checks free of charge to families. These appointments are one-on-one, in-person with a certified car seat safety technician. Please come prepared to engage with the technician throughout the entire appointment. This is an educational fitting station, not an installation service.

Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10am-1pm at the Keystone Valley Fire Department, 329 W. First Avenue, Parkesburg, PA 19365

Please make sure to attempt installing the car seat yourself prior to arrival. Bring the car seat manual and vehicle owner's manual with you to the appointment.

Whether this is your first child, or you already have car seats installed in your vehicle, schedule an appointment today to ensure your child is riding safely. Did you know that three out of four car seats are installed incorrectly? Don't delay, make an appointment today, spots do fill quickly.

Are you using the correct car seat for your child?
Is your child facing the correct direction in the vehicle?
Are you using lower anchors in the correct seating position?
Is your car seat moving less than one inch side to side, front to back?
If you can’t answer these questions, make an appointment today!

Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on site to help check and install car seats, educate families about choosing the right car seat for their child, the importance of registering car seats with the manufacturer, and what to expect if the car seat is subject to a safety recall. Have your car seat checked for free!
