Fuel Spill In West Sadsbury Township

On September 26th, 2024, Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the 3700 block of Lincoln Highway in West Sadsbury Township for a fuel spill.

Rescue, Tac, Ambulance 8 all made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a spill while delivering a load of gas to Wawa. The caller also reported anywhere from 5-25 gallons of fuel was on the ground. Rescue 8 led by Captain 8 (Demarco) arrived and determined about 20 gallons of gas was leaked onto the ground.

Rescue and Tac 8's crew checked area storm drains to confirm no fuel had leaked into them. Crews placed absorbent on the spill to help mitigate the situation. Wawa Management team secured power to the fuel pumps due to the spill. Assistant 8 (Marks) arrived and made the proper notifications to DEP and the scene was then turned over to the Wawa management team.

All Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 19:44.
