Two-Vehicle Accident In Highland Township Sends 5 Patients To The Hospital

On November 2nd, 2024, at 6:02 Keystone Valley Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Limestone and Martin Roads in Highland Township for an auto accident.

Keystone Valley Fire Department units made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a tow vehicle accident with numerous subjects injured. Westwood Fire Company Medic 344 was added to the assignment. Ambulance 8-1 arrived at 6:07 and confirmed the report and after finishing a scene size up requested 2 additional bls and an additional medic to the scene for a total of 5 patients. Ambulance 8-1's crew began care of the injured patients and as Rescue 8 arrived their crew also assisted with patient care while also handling the hazards on the vehicles and traffic control.

As additional mutual aid units arrived, they were given the orders by the Rescue and Ambulance crew. Once all patients were packaged for transport the respective EMS units started transport to area hospitals. Medic 94 was cancelled on the scene as their services were not required. Rescue 8 and Tac 8 remained on the scene to assist with lighting for the police department as they conducted their investigation of the accident scene.

The final Keystone Valley Fire Department unit cleared the call at 8:07.
