Working House Fire In The "West End" Section Of Coatesville City |

On November 27th, 2024, at 20:14 Coatesville Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of W. Lincoln Highway in Coatesville City for an odor investigation inside of a house. Coatesville Fire Department made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the Coatesville Police Department was on-scene reporting an odor of something burning with a smoke condition. Ladder 41 advised the Chester County 911 Center to upgrade the assignment to a house fire with the police departments report. The Coatesville Police Department quickly found the source of the smoke and confirmed a fire on the 2nd floor of the house. Ladder 41 arrived to report a 2-story twin with smoke showing from the side of the house. Coatesville Fire personnel then began fire suppression efforts. Chief 43 (Dobson) arrived and assumed the "West Lincoln Highway" command and as additional units arrived they were given their orders by the commander. Ladder and Tac 8 arrived, and their crew stood by in manpower staging. Thanks to the quick actions by the Coatesville Fire Department and assisting agencies the fire was held to a bedroom. Chief 43 placed the fire under control at 20:33 with all hands working to perform salvage and overhaul operations of the structure. Chief 43 also made a notification to the Red Cross for the residents affected by this fire. Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the call at 21:50 |
