Within KVFD we have many personnel with different personalities and professional backgrounds. Just like any other Emergency Services agency we are working to stay involved and prepared for emergencies 24/7.

For 2025, KVFD is having a change of the leadership with some new faces bringing new ideas and innovation to the fire service in Western Chester County.

Chief Brian Gathercole will be stepping down and the newly elected Fire Chief Joseph Marks steps-up and takes the helm. Marks has served as the Fire Captain and last as the Assistant Fire Chief of KVFD.

Marks has twenty years in the fire service. Marks began his career about eighteen years ago as an EMT and began pursing further education and became a paramedic. Marks has completed his undergraduate degree, which has allowed him to grow and learn many skills.

The new line-up for 2025 is as follows:

Fire Chief - Joseph Marks

Deputy Fire Chief - Robert Cazillo

Assistant Fire Chief - Nathan Delestienne

Fire Captain(s) - Josh Jones & Alyssa DeMarco

Lieutenant(s) - TBD

Chief Engineer - Gary Myers

EMS Chief - George Degnan

Fire Police Captain - John Marsh

Fire Police Lieutenant- Robert Johnson

Administrative Board:

Michelle Kreger - Board of Director
William Winters - Board of Director
Robert Guiney - Board of Director
Austin Van Der Mooren - Board of Director
