On January 8th, 2025, at 10:37 Westwood Fire Company along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 300 block of Strode Avenue in East Fallowfield Township for a reported building fire.

Westwood Fire Company units and mutual aid made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported a fire in the roof. Additional calls reported insulation and wood pillars were black and someone was attempting to extinguish the fire with a garden hose.

Battalion 44 (Sly) arrived and established the command for this incident and reported a furnace was on fire inside of the building with extension. Engine 44-5 arrived and began suppression efforts and as additional units arrived, they were given their assignments by the commander.

The fire was officially placed under control at 10:54 with all hands working to perform overhaul and other necessary task needed on the fire ground. Tanker 8 arrived and stood-by as that area had a fire hydrant to supply water for the fire. Ambulance 8-1 arrived assisted Westwood Fire Company's EMS crew with rehab.

The command requested a response from Belfor to cover a hole that had to be made in the roof.

All Keystone Valley Fire Department units cleared the scene at 11:20.
