4 Acres Of Woods On Fire In Highland Township |

On April 9th, 2025, at 15:12 Keystone Valley Fire Department along with area mutual aid were dispatched to the area of Limestone and Borough Line Roads in Highland Township for a woods fire. Keystone Valley Fire Department units and mutual aid made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported 4 acres of woods on fire and spreading rapidly. Keystone Valley Fire Department units and mutual aid arrived and began suppression efforts. Keystone Valley EMS Division arrived and setup rehab for the personnel operating on the scene. Chief 8 (Marks) arrived and took over the command from Captain 8 (Jones). Captain 8 then assumed the operations role for the fireground. Thanks to the quick response by Keystone Valley Fire Department personnel and area mutual aid the fire was eventually contained and extinguished. Chief 8 placed the fire under control at 16:20 with all hands working for an extensive mop up. Chief 8 also made notifications to the State Forestry Department.
