On April 23rd, 2025, at 23:47 Westwood Fire Company along with Ambulance 8 were dispatched to the area of Airport Road at the Rt. 30 Bypass for an auto accident with entrapment.

Westwood Fire Company units and Ambulance 8 made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the caller reported 1 vehicle was off of the roadway with smoke coming from the back of the vehicle due to burning rubber and the caller believe the occupant was trapped.

Westwood Fire Police Captain (Pilotti) was the first arriving unit to find 1 subject that was self-extricated from the vehicle. Ambulance 8 arrived to assist Medic 344 with patient care while Rescue 44 arrived to light up the scene and secure the hazards on the vehicle. Thankfully the patient was not injured and did not require transport to a hospital. Deputy 44 (Scott) arrived and assumed command for this incident.

Ambulance 8 was released from the scene at 00:15.
