Picture Day for Octorara Area Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy

The Octorara Area Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy had picture day today at the CCPSTC.
Keystone Valley Fire Department has two Senior High School students graduating this year. David Jones and Finley Reynolds who are very active with the KVFD and the program. Also, attending the program in Lilly Freeland and Conner Clevenstine who are juniors at KVFD.
KVFD supports the program that is helping those interested in the Emergency Services of Police, Fire & EMS help students achieve their start in a great profession. If your child is interested have them speak to their home school guidance offices.
The Octorara Area School District hosts the Octorara Area Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy. This program is available to students in all Chester County Schools. This Academy serves students interested in careers in Fire Fighting, Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical, and Emergency Management. This program is an approved PA Department of Education Career Program of Study. Upon completion, it can be credited for post-secondary education and students have the ability to earn State and National job-related certifications, which are required for entry-level positions.
The 3-year Academy is located at the Chester County Emergency Services Training Center in Coatesville.
