Reported House Fire in West Sadsbury Township turns to Police Related Incident

KVFD was dispatched for a reported house fire along with mutual aid on Upper Valley Road in West Sadsbury Township. Supplemental information was given with an actor in the area with a weapon. The incident quickly escalated to a police related incident.
Deputy 8 Klingler arrived and assumed the "Upper Valley Road" Command and advised units on the hazards upon approach. The property sits up a hill which caused access issues for responders.
Ladder 8 arrived at the first due Engine and stretched a 1 3/4 handline to the front of the structure. Personnel arrived on Rescue, Engine and Tanker 8 and assisted with equipment to the front of the structure. Mutual-aid from Christiana was given on-scene. Cochranville Engine 27-2 was redirected to KVFD's station, and the remainder of the response was recalled.
Upon fire officers speaking to law enforcement officers the incident was scaled back to a police related scene with assistance from the fire units on-scene.
The Chester County & State Police Fire Marshals were requested to the scene and the incident was turned over to West Sadsbury Township Police Department. The incident is under investigation by both the PD and the Fire Marshals Unit(s).
