KVFD was dispatched to Advanced Auto Parts for a dumpster fire. While arriving on-scene units were advised that the fire was at Stoltzfus Structures in the rear lot area with a dumpster on fire next to the building. A family observed the fire and placed water on the fire however, it was still burning and required a fire response.

The fire was inside a dumpster next to the building approximately 3 feet away.

Rescue 8 arrived and deployed a 1 3/4 handline and extinguished the fire. Tanker 8 supplied Rescue 8 the water.

Incident was mitigated with the dumpster removed from next to building.

The property owner was contacted and advised of the incident. Assistance on-scene by West Sadsbury Township Police.
