Today, KVFD participated in a Parkesburg Lions Club dedication to Joann Carmen and Thaddeus “Bud” Wilde as benches made from recycled plastics were dedicated in their honor.
Joann Carmen’s bench was placed in front of the Parkesburg VFW and Bud Wilde’s bench was placed in front of Wilde’s Funeral Home.
As inscribed on both plaques, please take a moment to reflect on the commitment of those community members and others who have passed and what great contributions they have made to our community.
The Parkesburg Lions Club has been using recycled plastic and getting benches fabricated and placed throughout the community in honor of those great community members. The benches are made out of recycled plastic received.
Please contribute to this effort!
There are several bins located throughout the community to take your recycled plastic to (for example Gabe’s Pizza.) All the donated grocery bags that were donated can be dropped off at those drop boxes.
Thank you to Parkesburg Lions Club for your leadership in this project. |
