KVFD was dispatched at 9:49 PM for an odor investigation at 339 W. First Avenue in Parkesburg Borough. The incident was located adjacent to Station # 08. Ladder 8 arrived on-scene and was investigating locating an apartment fire at that location.
Ladder & Engine 8's crews went into service establishing water supply, search and rescue and extinguishment.
The incident was upgraded to a working building fire with Assistant Chief Marks assuming Command.
The building was a three-story multiple occupancy with fire alarms sounding. Units on-scene performed a search of all three floors and the incident was held to the units dispatched with the fire being extinguished.
The incident is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshals Office along with Parkesburg Police.
