On August 31st, 2024, at 14:20 Ladder 8 was dispatched along with other mutual aid to assist the City of Coatesville Fire Department on a reported house fire in the 200 block of West Lincoln Highway.

Coatesville Fire Department units along with mutual aid made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the callers reported a vacant house on fire. The Coatesville Police and Fire Department arrived to confirm a working fire and requested a "Working Fire Dispatch". Coatesville Fire Department personnel began fire suppression efforts. Chief 43 (Dobson) arrived and assumed command for this incident and as the mutual aid units arrived, they were given their assignments.

Once the fire was extinguished crews began ventilation, salvage and overhaul operations. The fire was placed under control at 14:47 by Chief 43 (Dobson) with all hands working. Chief 43 requested a response from Peco and ServPro for board up services and local fire marshals.

Ladder 8 cleared the scene at 15:08 pm.
