Accident With Entrapment In West Fallowfield Township

On November14th, 2024, at 3:50 am Cochranville Fire Company along with Keystone Valley Fire Department EMS and Southern Chester County Paramedics (94) were dispatched to the area of Gap Newport Pike and Glen Run Road for an auto accident with entrapment.
Cochranville Fire Company units along with EMS responded and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the patient was the caller who advised that his vehicle had left the roadway and that he was trapped in his vehicle. Assistant 27 (Lapp) arrived and confirmed a single vehicle accident in the middle of a field and confirmed a door would need to be "popped" to extricate the patient. Assistant 27 assumed the command for this incident and Deputy 27 (Kocher) handled the operations.
Ambulance 8-1 arrived, and their crew began patient care for the injured subject. Rescue 27 led by Deputy 27 (Kocher) arrived and their crew setup for the extrication of the patient from the vehicle. Assistant 27 reported the patient was extricated from the vehicle at 4:04 am. Ambulance 8-1 and Medic 94 transported 1 patient to an area trauma center for their injuries that were sustained from the accident. Cochranville and Keystone Valley Fire Police remained on the scene to assist with traffic control for the Pennsylvania State Police as they investigated the accident scene.
Ambulance 8-1 cleared the call at 6:07 am.
