KVFD along with Mutual-Aid Partners were dispatched for a reported house fire at 0540 hours in the 600 block of W. Second Avenue in Parkesburg Borough.

Parkesburg Borough Police were on scene with the house evacuated and heavy smoke throughout the dwelling.

Deputy Fire Chief Cazillo arrived on-scene and assumed the “W. Second Avenue Command”. Ladder 8 was the first due arriving and laid a supply line down Second Avenue and went into service at the first due Engine/Truck.

Fire was located on the top floor in the dwelling and water was on the fire quickly upon arrival.

Crews on-scene located the source of the fire to be in an upstairs bedroom. The incident was scaled back with units being cleared upon arrival. The incident was held to the initial units dispatched.
