Tanker 8 Assisted On A Building Fire In West Marlborough Township

On December 8th, 2024, at 03:51Tanker 8 was dispatched to assist the Kennett Regional Fire Department on a multi alarm building fire in the 500 block of Upland Road in West Marlborough Township.
Tanker 8 responded and was advised that they would be part of a tanker task force. The tanker trucks are designed to carry over 2,000 or more gallons of water to fires where area's such as this are without fire hydrants or sufficient water sources to extinguish fires. Tanker 8 arrived and began shuttling water to the scene from a fill site that was setup in the area by the mutual aid companies.
Tanker 8 shuttled a total of 16,000 gallons of water to the scene before being released by the incident commander. Tanker 8 cleared the scene at 10:04.
