On January 29th, 2025, at 10:52 Sadsburyville Fire Company along with neighboring mutual aid were dispatched to the unit block of Middle Street in Sadsbury Township for a house fire.

Sadsburyville Fire Company units and mutual aid made the response and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center that the reporting party advised of contractors doing work in the home and smoke was seen in the attic.

Engine 44-5 arrived to find a 3-story duplex and they would be taking the first due engine assignment. The contractors met with Engine 44-5's crew and advised of smoke in the attic and on the 2nd floor of the home. Engine 44-5 led by Chief 44 Mcwilliams deployed a handline inside of the residence and reported an active fire in the walls of a bedroom on the 2nd floor.

Rescue 31 arrived led by Assistant 31 (Reynolds) and their crew assisted with fire suppression efforts. Assistant 31 (Reynolds) assumed command for this incident. Keystone Valley Fire Department were tasked with assisting with suppression efforts, ventilation, overhaul, rehab/standby upon their arrival. Assistant 31 (Reynolds) gave the other incoming units their assignments upon their arrival. Thanks to the quick response and actions by fire personnel the fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the residence. The assignment was scaled back to the units on the scene as the fire was placed under control at 11:07 with all hands working. Interior crews performed some minor overhaul of the bedroom checking for hot spots.

The commander requested a response from the Chester County Fire Marshall's office. Assistant 31 (Reynolds) held the assignment to Rescue 31 and made the remaining units available at 11:29.
