October is known in the Fire Service for Fire Prevention. We also share it for something way more important.
๐ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection and screening, honor those affected, and support survivors and their families. ๐
You will see KVFD personnel, Career & Volunteer wearing Pink and supporting Breast Cancer Awareness throughout the month of October. At KVFD we support many initiatives and fighting cancer is cancer is one of them. We might fight fires every day, we fight the ability to be a service provider for our region of Chester County but sometimes the most important fight is supporting those who need you the most!
