KVFD & Mutual-Aid were dispatched to a report of an appliance fire on Grant Street in Parkesburg Borough at 7:42 a.m. this morning. While en route, Ladder 8 was notified that the incident was being upgraded due to fire extending beyond the microwave.
Ambulance 8 was first to arrive and found a light smoke condition at the end unit of a row home. All residents had evacuated safely.
Ladder 8 arrived on scene and addressed the situation by removing the microwave to the exterior of the home and mitigated the incident.
The fire was contained, and the response was scaled back to units already enroute. Shortly after, the incident was further reduced to only Station 8 units.
